New things

Hallo!

School, horses, frustration for broken earphones, love for the new ones, eating pizza with friends, cancelled plans, new hobbies, cold and partying. That, my lovely readers, is my week.

Last Sunday night when I was starting to sleep and putting on my night music, I noticed that the music came only from one side of my earphones. That was horrible. My earphones and my music are really important to me... But fortunately I had to cope with the broken earphones only for a day since we visited Melle on Tuesday and I was able to buy new ones.

New earphones and new usb-cable
On Wednesdays I have a really long school day, from 8 to 5. Normally I have three free periods, one class between them, but this week our German lesson was cancelled so I had four free periods in a row... Luckily my closest classmates had also free and we decided to go and eat pizza while the day was so long and one of them has a car. Thanks guys for taking me with you ^^

Nom nom ♥
Thursday was going to be my first time visiting one of my friends but she got sick and that plan went there. It was depressing to be honest but hey, what can we do. Heads up and new plans on. So, after all, Thursday turned out to be my first time at Kung fu.

Earlier this week, my host-mom called this martial arts school in Melle and they said I can come to watch and try two times. The practice was really something... I was excited and found everything really cool and all but still, for a first-timer like me, it was a bit too much xD Fortunately the teachers and the master were really nice and they let me catch up my breath with some kind of Kung fu breathing. (I'm very sorry for my crappy way of writing from Kung fu but I don't actually know anything about the sport.)

On Friday we had only three hours of school ♥ (and I woke up with sore throat and little headache). Short school day because on Saturday was our school's 25th birthday celebration and we had to attend that too. So we had school till 11 and after that I chilled at home and later in the afternoon we went riding with Sophia.

Yesterday I was at one of my host-sister's friends costume party. I didn't have that long to prepare my costume but thanks to Sophia and her friend and others, my Elsa-themed costume came up pretty good.

Danke schön Sophia, my hair looked great

Getting ready ^^

Life

Hallo

School is filling my days and everything is feeling really normal, I can't be thinking: this is the real exchange student life. Some days are harder than others, of course, I'm tired most of the time and sometimes I feel lonely and foreign, but still -- not even for a moment -- I haven't thought of going home.

Last Sunday I skyped with my family and that was nice. Seeing that they were alright and just looking happy and all made me happy too. I didn't feel homesick, but seeing our dogs being there, goofing around as usual, made my eyes teary... I also showed my family my home here in Germany, that was cool :D

On Tuesday was Sophia's birthday and we had chocolate cake and these cute little cakes too. Unfortunately I wasn't able to give my present for my host-sister in time while it came from Finland and the packet was late.

BUT on Wednesday my packet finally arrived! ^^ There were Sophia's present, some clothes, e.g. my winter coat and shoes, couple of books in Finnish, two dvds and of course some finnish food :D

In the end of the week I showed my host-parents my home town via Google earth. We also went to an YFU meeting for exchange students and host-families.

All in all, my week was good.

But this week the k-pop world has been shocked greatly. This girl group called 'Ladies Code' got into a serious car crash on the 3rd of September. One of the members, EunB, passed away at the accident place and four days later, today, another memeber, RiSe, passed away after being unconscious for the whole time since the accident. This isn't actually about my life, and I don't even know this group so well, but it has shocked me too, so much that I have cried more than once.

Rest in peace EunB and RiSe. And for the other members, family and friends and of course the Ladies Code fans, fighting!
